Bonnet: The bonnet is the cover that houses the stem and other internal components, providing easy access for maintenance and inspection. It is designed to provide a seal between the valve body and the actuator assembly. Stainless steel bonnets offer durability and resistance to environmental factors such as moisture, chemicals, and high temperatures.

Seat: The seat is the surface against which the gate seals when the valve is closed. The seat material is designed to resist wear and corrosion, providing a reliable seal to prevent leakage. Stainless steel is commonly used for the seat material, and in some designs, the seat may be coated with a material like resilient elastomer to enhance sealing performance.

Packing: Packing is used around the stem to prevent leaks from the valve’s stem area. It is typically made from durable materials such as graphite or PTFE. Packing ensures that the valve maintains a leak-proof seal while allowing the stem to move freely.
